I had a great discussion with one of my PeerFly publishers yesterday and one of the major points that came out of it is a concept I've been preaching for awhile now, affiliate marketing stepping stones.

If you are like the other 90% of my publishers, you are having what you would consider limited success with your affiliate campaigns. You are determined to make it work, but the process it taking a lot longer than you had expected and you are hitting a lot more road bumps than you had originally anticipated. This is a problem a lot of "newbies" in the affiliate marketing industry face, but it's something you can overcome.

The thing you need to focus on is taking the right steps to keep moving in the right direction. You will grow as an affiliate as you gain experience from working on different campaigns. You should take the revenue you earn from each campaign and continue to reinvest it in perfecting your campaigns. Once you have some solid revenue coming in from one source you should take part of that revenue and invest it into a new source. You are not going to make $1,000/day from running traffic on 7Search, but if you string together 5 successful campaigns making $5-10/day and reinvest that money into a POF or Facebook campaign you can keep testing new sources and gaining experience as an affiliate marketer without making yourself go broke or expanding your budget outside of your comfort zone.

Over the past 2 months I have been pushing some solid traffic through Facebook Ads and Sponsored Stories. I've generated nearly $4,000 in profit. As of late the offers are not converting very well, so what am I going to do? I'm going to reinvest some of that profit into testing media buys on SiteScout. SiteScout just added over 7,000 premium websites from Google that they are now serving display ads to. If I can string together a few good buys I could easily pull in $1,000/day!
