How I Made $560.22 Last Week from My Facebook Fan Page

Published: Tue, 05/23/17

Hello,

Last week, I relaunched the blog I featured in my From 0 to 1,125,671 Pageviews in a Month article a few years ago.

The blog is a tool I've been using to monetize my Fan Page audience of over 1,000,000.

I earned $560.22 from 322,228 pageviews.

How did I do it?

I will give you an earnings breakdown below with each ad network I used and how much I earned. First, I need to explain why I was able to finally do this.

Over the past few years, I've had consistent issues with hosting and this blog. When I would create a new article and post it on the Fan Page, the sudden surge of traffic would crash the server and all the viral traffic would be lost before I even got a real chance to monetize it.

I've been quoted close to $1000/month from multiple sources to "properly" host the site, but I knew there had to be a better option.

Well, what I ended up doing is moving the blog to a Droplet on DigitalOcean. THIS IS AN AMAZING SOLUTION.

I'm hosting the site on a $20 cloud server with a $20 load balancer. I'm using the free version of CloudFlare to help control traffic as well. So, for $40 I am successfully able to handle at least 1,100 concurrent users (my record so far).
So, now that ItsAlways.com is able to handle my traffic, I am working to scale it up.

The $560.22 I made from the site last week was primarily from display ads with some Amazon commission as well.
  • AdSense: $265.48
  • RevContent: $43.29
  • ContentAd: $79.94
  • Amazon: $171.51
I am pleased with the results so far, but I'm testing different ad placements and ad networks. I will also be working to scale up traffic by boosting some posts with Facebook Ads.

So, the recipe for the success so far is:
It helps that I have a Facebook Page with an audience of over 1,000,000 Likes, but you can do that too. Sign up for FPTraffic today and start your free 2-week trial to learn how.
